Christmas is just around the corner, and many of us are stuck for gift ideas! If you know someone who loves food (don’t we all!?) and nutrition, we’ve got the perfect gift ideas for you (or them, but why not treat yourself while you’re at it!).
Home-made granola
Granola with fruit, milk or yoghurt makes for a delicious summer breakfast. Nothing quite beats a delicious home-made golden granola, and it’s surprisingly easy to make! Basing a recipe on rolled oats, extra virgin olive oil, honey or maple syrup and a variety of nuts and seeds is always a winner. Place your granola in glass containers, wrap with some pretty ribbon and you’re done!
Bliss balls
Bliss balls are so versatile and make for a delicious Christmas gift. You could make some traditional peanut butter choc-chip style balls, or go a bit more festive with some chocolate peppermint or gingerbread bliss balls.
Trail Mix
Trail mix is another low-maintenance but thoughtful and nourishing gift idea this Christmas. You can put anything you like in a trail mix with some great options including mixed nuts, seeds, a bit of dried fruit and some chocolate chips. Make it more festive by including nuts such as macadamias and some Christmas coloured M&m’s.
Christmas yoghurt bark
Yoghurt bark is a delicious snack on a warm day, and makes for a thoughtful Christmas gift. Simply spread some vanilla yoghurt on a tray lined with baking paper. Top with some chopped nuts, such as macadamias or pecans. Add a sprinkle of dried cranberries, and a few white chocolate chips or Christmas coloured M&m’s. Set in the fridge and then break up bark once set. Wrap in cellophane and finish off with a green, silver or red ribbon.
